Elixir at ECCB 2026

Bringing together expertise from across Europe’s life-science data infrastructure, the ELIXIR programme at ECCB 2026 showcases how FAIR data, interoperable resources, research software and advanced computational approaches are transforming the biological and biomedical sciences.
Through dedicated talks, posters and discussion, the programme highlights the work of ELIXIR Communities and explores how connected data, tools and computing infrastructure can support research and accelerate innovation.

Across three dedicated sessions, nine selected talks will showcase outstanding work from Elixir Communities. The programme will conclude with a one-hour panel exploring how connected data and computing can accelerate AI-driven innovation in health.
Elixir posters
The ELIXIR programme extends into the ECCB 2026 poster sessions, providing further opportunities to explore projects, resources and collaborations from across the ELIXIR Communities.
Browse the ELIXIR poster programme below to discover the participating projects and presenters.
The posters will be presented as part of the main ECCB 2026 poster sessions in Espace Ruth Dreifuss and Espace Lise Girardin. Consult the complete poster programme to explore posters from all scientific areas and tracks.
Elixir beyond the main conference
The ELIXIR programme continues after the main conference with workshops and community-led events on Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday, 3 September, two dedicated ELIXIR workshops will take place:
- 09:00–12:45: ELIXIR-W1 – FAIR metadata for bioinformatics software
- 13:45–17:30: ELIXIR-W2 – Practical and pragmatic FAIRification of data in biodiversity, AI, health and beyond
On Friday, 4 September, the SIB Communities Day will feature two full-day events involving ELIXIR Communities:
- From FAIR principles to data pipelines: FAIRification and FAIR-enabling resources at scale, bringing together ELIXIR Europe, the GO FAIR Foundation, CODATA and Webby FDOs.
- Single-cell and spatial data FAIRification, community standards and training, connecting the ELIXIR Single-Cell Omics Community with the international scFAIR consortium.
