Poster presentations
Thank you for presenting a poster at ECCB 2026. Poster sessions are an important part of the scientific programme and provide an excellent opportunity to share your work and engage with the computational biology community.
Poster requirements
Presenters must:
- bring a printed A0 portrait poster (84,1 × 118,9 cm / 33.1 × 46.8 in);
- present it in person during their assigned session; and
- remain at their poster throughout the 90-minute session.
Posters must be in English and must not exceed the stated dimensions. Presenters are responsible for bringing their poster already printed; on-site printing will not be provided.
For maximum readability, we recommend:
- keeping text to a minimum and emphasising figures and diagrams;
- using sufficiently large fonts;
- choosing high-contrast, colour-blind-friendly colours; and
- including a QR code linking to your publication, preprint, code repository or project website, where appropriate.
The figure below shows the poster-board dimensions and the coloured ribbon displaying the scientific area, poster number and QR code for online voting.
Poster sessions
ECCB 2026 will feature three dedicated poster sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. Every poster will be assigned to one of these sessions.

Poster-session assignments, final poster numbers and floor plans can be found in the poster programme. Your EasyChair submission number is not your poster number, and poster numbers may be subject to change. If you are unsure of your assigned session, please refer to your abstract notification email or to the Poster Information desk during the poster sessions.

Finding your poster board
The poster sessions will take place across two floors in Espace Ruth Dreifuss (ground floor) and Espace Lise Girardin (first floor).
The floor plans below show the distribution of poster boards by scientific area and poster-number range.
Each poster board will be identified by a scientific area abbreviation and poster number. Please:
- check your final poster number before displaying your poster;
- use the mounting materials provided on site;
- install and remove your poster during the designated periods;
- arrive at least five minutes before your session begins; and
- remain at your poster throughout the session.
Printed poster lists and floor plans will also be displayed at the venue. Posters remaining after the removal deadline will be collected and kept at the Poster information desk, available in Espace Lise Girardin (first floor) during each session to answer questions and assist presenters.
Online poster platform
The ECCB 2026 Online poster platform is currently being set up. Presenters will be able to upload:
- a PDF of their poster; and
- an optional MP4 video of up to five minutes.
Uploading these materials is not required to participate as a poster presenter. However, presenters must upload a PDF of their poster by 20 August 2026 to be eligible for a poster prize.
Instructions for accessing the platform and uploading files will be shared with presenters shortly. Uploaded materials will be publicly accessible through the ECCB 2026 website.

Poster prizes
ECCB 2026 will award:
- one poster prize in each of the conference’s five scientific areas; and
- one poster prize in the general computational biology category.
To be eligible, presenters must:
- upload a PDF of their poster to the online poster gallery by 20 August 2026 (currently being set up; instructions will follow); and
- present their poster in person during their assigned session.
Conference participants will vote during the poster sessions by scanning the QR codes displayed on the poster boards. Winners will be announced during the Closing ceremony and must be present to receive their award.
