Invitation letter for visa requests

Participants who require a visa to travel to Switzerland may request an official invitation letter. Invitation letters can be requested through this webpage once the conference registration has been completed and the registration fee has been paid and confirmed.

Presenting participants (poster or talk)

Participants who plan to present scientific work at ECCB 2026 must first submit an abstract. Invitation letters can be issued after the abstract has been accepted and participation confirmed.

If a visa support document is required before the abstract decision, applicants may request a temporary support letter from their home institution or principal investigator, copying the ECCB organizers in the email.

Communities Day participants

If you are attending Communities Day only and not ECCB 2026, visa support must be handled through the organizing team of the specific event, as the visit is linked exclusively to that activity.

Additional information

  • The conference organizers cannot provide administrative documents such as Handelsregister extracts.
  • Participants are strongly encouraged to contact the Swiss embassy or consulate in their country to verify visa requirements.
  • In some cases, embassies may request invitation letters directly from the conference organizers.
